National Forklift Safety Week, which ran at the end of September, highlighted the fact that forklifts account for more accidents at work than cars and trucks combined.

The most common accidents are those involving people working or walking in the areas where forklift trucks operate. Two British workers a month are killed as a direct result of these vehicles with another 60 suffering serious injuries.
